Recently, my niece and I had an awesome time of going through some old pictures of my mother’s. There were some where even I didn’t have a clue who they were, but she had written names on the back.
Looking through the past through the eyes of another, especially one who no longer able to share their lives with us, was such a blessing.
Leviticus 26:45 But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.
Sometimes we just need to take time to reflect on where we’ve been and how we got to where we are today. I am in awe of God’s goodness toward me. I am abundantly blessed. I pray that you can take a moment to reflect back on how the Lord has blessed you today, too.
Psalms 139:1-6 <> O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
Lord, thank You for being our God. Thank You for loving us no matter what we’ve done or where we’ve been. We love You, Lord and all we do is for Your honor and glory.
